Pizzelle
- 3 cups all-purpose flour sifted
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon anise extract
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons Galliano liqueur or any vanilla based
- Add the sifted flour, baking powder and cinnamon to a large mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl beat 6 eggs
- Add the oil, liqueur, anise and vanilla extract and beat to incorporate the ingredients.
- Add the wet ingredients, into the dry ingredients, and beat to blend.
- You should obtain a silky and thick sticky dough.
- Grease and pre-heat an electric pizzelle iron
- Drop a tablespoon of of the dough on the griddle.
- Cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes depending on your appliance.
- Remove with a spatula. .
