Orange Spice Cookies

  1. Cream margarine; gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed of an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  2. Add egg substitute and corn syrup; beat well.
  3. Combine flour and next 4 ingredients, stirring well.
  4. Gradually add flour mixture to creamed mixture, mixing well.
  5. Stir in orange rind.
  6. Shape dough into 15 x 1-inch log; wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 4 hours.
  7. Unwrap log and cut into 1/4 inch slices.
  8. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  9. Bake at 375u0b0 for 8 minutes or until lightly browned.
  10. Remove from cookie sheets and let cool on wire racks.
  11. Yield:
  12. 4 dozen (42 calories each).
