Chocolate Cake
- 2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 11/16 cup butter cut into pieces
- 1 3/8 cups brown sugar
- 15/16 cup cocoa bittersweet
- 1 1/2 tablespoons baking soda
- milk 3 dl.
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 4 drops lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- ground cinnamon
- ground cloves
- Preheat the oven to 180C.
- Beat the butter with the brown sugar until creamy and foamy.
- Add the baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and the vanilla extract. Add the eggs one at a time.
- Sift together 330 grams of the flour and the cocoa. Mix the lemon juice in with the milk, and add both the flour/cocoa mixture and the milk/lemon mixture to the butter/sugar mixture, a little at a time, alternating between them.
- Pour the batter into a 24 centimeter buttered and floured cake pan.
- Bake the cake for approximately 40 minutes.
- Remove the cake from the oven, cool it completely and serve it sprinkled with powdered sugar.
