Gorgonzola, Leek, And Ham-Stuffed Phyllo
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 leeks
- 4 slices virginia ham
- 4 sheets phyllo pastry
- 1 1/8 cups gorgonzola cheese
- 1 egg
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
- Add the oil to a skillet in medium heat. Add the leeks and saute for a few minutes.
- Add the chopped ham and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and set aside.
- Cut the phyllo sheet in a rectangle. On the short end, place a piece of cheese and the leek/ham mixture on top.
- Start forming the triangles by folding the phyllo. Take one corner of the short end and bring it up to meet the long end. Repeat starting from the opposite corner until the entire rectangle is used.
- Seal the edges with the beaten egg.
- Place the triangles onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes or until browned.
