Courgette / Zucchini Lasagna With Turkey Bolognese Recipe (Low Carb No Pasta)

  1. For your Bolognese sauce:ntart with preparing your vegetables. Grate your carrots and celery, chop your onion, garlic and chilli and set aside on a plate.
  2. Pre heating your pan on high/medium heat and fry your vegetables and your herbs (rosemary, basil, oregano) on it until golden. When done set them aside on the plate again and now brown your minced meat with salt, black pepper, white pepper and the bay leaf. When your meat is golden add your red wine to the pan and stir. Now is the time to add your tomato pure and continue to stir. ndd your vegetables to the pan, too.
  3. Season with salt if necessary. Leave the sauce now on low/medium heat so all the flavours have time to combine. To prevent the sauce to burn add stock or water every now and then and stir well. nhe longer you leave it on the better the taste gets. You can leave it for 15 minutes or for 4 hours. It is absolutely up to you and to your day schedule. nhen your sauce is ready add some extra taste with adding a pinch of sugar, butter and milk. Stir and set aside. Discard of the bay leaves.
  4. Pre heat your oven on 225 C Celsius.nnFor your bechamel:neat up a smaller pan on medium heat. Add your butter and grate over your nutmeg and leave to melt. Now add you flour and white pepper and stir well. no not let it burn and stir until you combine your flour and butter into a paste. now seat aside and slowly add your milk and stir to get rid of all lumps. Put it back on the heat and stir until you create a thick sauce. Set aside.
  5. Lasagna: nnSlice your courgette/zucchini thin as possible and set aside. now grease your baking ceramic/glass pan/tray with butter. And fill it up with nour ingredients. ntart with your courgette/zucchini then your Bolognese sauce and then your bechamel sauce and so on again until you gave filled your tray. Make sure you end with your bechamel topping and sprinkle the top with some parmesan cheese or any you have at home. nnPut your lasagna to bake in the oven for about 35 minutes. Make sure you do not burn the top. If you are afraid that might happen you can cover your lasagna for the first half with tin foil. nnI hope you enjoy this recipe.
