Chicken Supreme Souffle
- 5 slices white bread, crusts removed
- 2 c. chicken, cooked and diced
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 1/2 c. celery, chopped
- dash of pepper
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. milk
- 3/4 c. Miracle Whip
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- shredded sharp cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- Cube removed crusts.
- Put in bottom of greased casserole. Combine chicken, onion, green pepper, celery, Miracle Whip, salt and pepper; spread over cubed bread in casserole.
- Cut bread slices into triangles and put on top of chicken mixture.
- Beat eggs well and add 1/2 cup or more milk; pour over all, being careful to apply to each triangle of bread.
- Let stand in refrigerator overnight.
- Before baking, cover top with can of mushroom soup mixed with enough milk to make consistency of gravy. Bake 1 hour at 325u0b0.
- Sprinkle grated cheese over top the last 10 minutes.
- Makes 6 servings.
