Cherry And Pear Crumble

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the powdered sugar and the cinnamon and add the cherries and pears.
  3. In a separate medium bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla sugar, coconut, and oatmeal together.
  4. Cut the cold butter into the oat mixture. Blend with your fingertips until the butter pieces are the size of small peas. The mixture should look lumpy and should hold together when you squeeze it.
  5. Place the pear mixture into a greased baking pan in an even layer. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over it. Place into the oven and bake crumble for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove the crumble from oven and take a look: the fruit juices should be bubbling, and the crumble mixture should be golden brown.
  7. Serve the crumble warm or at room temperature, plain or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
