Red Cabbage

  1. Using steel blade, process onion, using on/off technique until chopped.
  2. Saute in butter in large saucepan until soft, 5 minutes. Using slicing disc, slice apples.
  3. Add apples to saucepan; cook 5 minutes.
  4. Using slicing disc, slice cabbage.
  5. Stir sliced cabbage, vinegar, sugar, water, salt, nutmeg and cloves into saucepan. Heat to boiling.
  6. Reduce heat.
  7. Simmer, covered, until cabbage is tender, about 1 hour.
