Banana Cake With Chocolate Chips
- 2 bananas ripe
- 2 tablespoons vin santo
- 1 7/8 cups pastry flour
- 7/8 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 4 15/16 tablespoons butter at room temperature
- 7 tablespoons milk
- 4 3/4 tablespoons chocolate chips
- salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- powdered sugar
- ground cinnamon
- Preheat the oven to 180C.
- Mash the bananas with a fork and place them in a bowl with the Vin Santo.
- Beat the sugar in a bowl with the eggs, add the butter, milk, flour, a pinch of salt, baking powder and vanilla extract.
- Add the bananas with the Vin Santo and the chocolate chips.
- Butter and flour a cake pan and bake the cake for approximately 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven, cool completely and sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon before serving.
