Sago Melkkos

  1. Add all the sago to 250ml milk in a deep 3.5l microwave safe bowl. I usually use a glass bowl.
  2. Microwave it for 2 and a half minutes on high.
  3. Take the bowl out and mix thoroughly. Leave to stand for at least 1 hour. You can leave it for several hours if you need to, but at least 1 hour.
  4. Add the butter or margarine as well as the remaining 750ml milk to the mixture.
  5. Microwave for 15 minutes on high, mixing every 5 minutes.
  6. In a separate bowl beat the eggs, flour, custard powder, salt and water together thoroughly.
  7. Add the egg mixture to the Sago mixture and mix.
  8. Microwave it for 6 minutes on high, mixing every 3 minutes.
  9. Serve hot with cinnamon sugar sprinkled over to taste.
  10. To reheat later : add small amount of milk, reheat in microwave, then mix thoroughly.
