Andy Avacado Burger
- 1/4 lb of grass-fed ground Angus beef (85/15)
- 1/8 lb of ground Andouille sausage
- 1 clove of miced garlic
- 1 1/2 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
- 1/4 of an avocado from Mexico
- 1/2 tbs of olive oil
- 1/2 tsp of lemon juice
- 1 slice of American cheese
- 1 tbs of dried parsley
- 1/2 tbs of mayo
- 2 tsp of sea salt
- 2 rings of a white onion
- For the avocado spread:nn a small mixing bowl combine avaocado, olive oil, and lemon juice then using a masher incooperate for a few seconds. Add 1/2 of the minced clove of garlic, salt, and pepper and finish to a chunky consistancy.
- For the burger patty:nn a larger mixing bowl, combine ground beef and sausage with the other half of the minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Combine all ingredients with your hands and form into 1 1/4 inch patty.
- Heat up a non-stick skillet or cast iron pan to Med-High.. Place patty and cook on each side for 3-4 minutes turning only once for a great crust. After both sides are crusted, flip to original side.
- Remove patty and set aside. Place the naked white onion rings in the burger pan to sweat them down for 30-35 seconds. Bring patty back to the pan topping it with the sweated onions and cheese. Cover to melt.
- Toast your bun of choice spreading mayo on the bottom bun once toasted. Place patty on bun, top with avocado chunk spread, top and enjoy!
