Coffee Rubbed Cheesburger With Smoked Cheddar
- 2 1/4 pounds ground chuck or sirloin
- 2 tablespoons Fire & Flavor coffee rub
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 6 hamburger buns
- 5 ounces cheddar smoked, sliced
- lettuce
- tomato
- ketchup
- mustard
- mushrooms
- onions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Combine ground chuck, salt, and rub in a large bowl. Form 6 patties, about 1 inch thick, making a small indention in top center of each burger to yield perfectly shaped burgers. Allow burgers to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes to take the chill off.
- Cook burgers for about 4 minutes per side, flipping once, for medium-rare or longer for well-done burgers. Remove from grill, top with cheese if desired, and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve with toasted buns, sauteed onions, lettuce, and tomato.
