Apple Crumb Cake(Yield: 2 Servings)

  1. Melt 1/3 cup
  2. butter in a large skillet.
  3. Pare, core and slice apples to 1/2-inch pieces.
  4. Add apples to butter and cook, stirring, 8 minutes, until tender.
  5. Stir in 3/4 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon lemon peel, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, mace and currants. Cook 15 minutes, stirring until thickened.
  6. Cool.
