Chocolate Delight
- 1 box brownie mix
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. water
- 1/2 stick margarine
- 3 to 4 Tbsp. Hershey's cocoa
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. vanilla
- 3/4 to 1 box confectioners sugar
- 1 large bag miniature marshmallows
- 1 c. pecan pieces (optional)
- Prepare brownie mix as directed on box and spread over 11 x 13-inch nonstick jelly roll baking pan or cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Test with toothpick.
- If toothpick is wet, bake a few more minutes.
- While brownie mix is baking, prepare sauce (icing).
- In saucepan, mix water and margarine.
- Heat until margarine melts.
- Add cocoa, vanilla and confectioners sugar.
- Stir and make sauce thick enough to spoon or pour over brownies.
- If too thick to pour, add water until desired thickness is obtained. Remove brownies from oven when done.
- Spread marshmallows over brownies.
- Return brownies (with marshmallows) to oven for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Do not leave brownies in oven too long or they will be too hard to cut.
- Remove brownies/marshmallows from oven and pour icing over hot marshmallow.
- Swirl in with spoon.
- Sprinkle pecan pieces over icing, if desired.
- Let cool.
- Cut, eat and enjoy.
