Crab Custard

  1. Remove any remaining shell or cartilage from crabmeat.
  2. Pour butter in a baking dish, approximately 8x8x2 inches.
  3. Cut crusts from bread.
  4. Place bread in a single layer in the bottom of the baking dish spread crabmeat over bread.
  5. Sprinkle cheese, parsley.
  6. and onion over crabmeat.
  7. Combine milk, egg, salt, Worcestershire sauce and pepper; pour over crabmeat.
  8. Sprinkle with paprika.
  9. Set baking dish in a pan containing 1 inch hot water.
  10. Bake in a moderate oven, 350 degrees.
