Hearty But Healthy Turkey Chili

  1. Heat oil in skillet in medium high heat. When heated, add in onions, garlic, jalapeno and red pepper till the onions look translucent (3-4 minutes)
  2. Next, add in the ground turkey. Cook till turkey is browned (5-6 minutes).
  3. After turkey is cooked, combine the rest of the ingredients starting with the chicken stock. At this point, you can stir and cover. Reduce to low heat.
  4. Stir every 10 minutes, for an hour. When stirring, make sure the broth has enough salt and chili powder- add more accordingly.
  5. Let it cool a bit, and enjoy! I prefer to eat this with an easy baked sweet potato with a touch of olive oil (400 degrees for 50 minutes).
