Layered Salad Deluxe
- 1 medium head lettuce, shredded
- 1 c. celery, diced
- 1/2 c. green onion
- 1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, sliced
- 1 small green pepper, diced
- 1 c. carrots, diced
- 1 small pkg. frozen peas
- 2 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled
- 3 hard-cooked eggs, sliced
- tomato wedges
- grated cheese
- Put vegetables in a 9 x 13-inch glass container in layers. Spread mayonnaise over the top and sprinkle with sugar, salt, garlic and grated cheese.
- Cover and chill for 24 hours.
- Before serving, add eggs and bacon.
- Do not toss.
- Serves 8 to 10.
