Vegetable Samosa
- 2 cups white flour
- 2 teaspoons corn flour
- 2 teaspoons oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup cauliflower chopped
- 1/2 cup potato chopped
- 2 teaspoons nut fried ground
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds whole, jeera
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- salt to taste
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup oil for frying
- Mix all the ingredients the white flour, corn flour, oil, salt and water to make a soft dough. Cover and set aside.
- Pour the 3 tablespoons of oil in a pan over heat. Add the whole jeera, cauliflower, potato, fried ground nut, and spices and fry well. Cover the pan above low heat, up to 10 minutes.
- Form the dough into a ball, flatten, and roll out into a circle. Cut it into two equal pieces. Form each into a cone shape with your finger. Fill the cone with the prepared mixture and press the two dampened edges together to seal the top of the cone.
- Fry the samosa in the heated oil till golden brown. Remove from oil and drain on a paper towel.
