Chickpea Wrap
- 1/2 chickpeas a can of
- basil leaves
- romaine lettuce
- pepper
- olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- clove a small, garlic
- 1 tortilla
- hummus
- Finely chop your garlic, you don't need much so if there is more than you would like set it aside for another recipe.
- Next chop your basil and your chickpeas, and set them aside.
- Start by heating up a pan to medium high heat, this is important for you do not want to burn the chickpeas.
- Add a small amount of olive oil and then the garlic and chickpeas, stirring it around.
- If the mixture seems to be drying up, you can add in some of the canned chickpea water or even tap water.
- Add basil, salt & pepper, and cumin for flavoring. Once everything is incorporated, take the chickpeas off of the stove; this will be the filling.
- Taking the tortilla, spread a generous layer of humus to keep everything together.
- Next layer on some romaine hearts and basil, then add the chickpea filling and roll the tortilla.
- Serve and enjoy!
