Red Velvet Pound Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 325u0b0.
  2. Grease and flour tube pan.
  3. Cream sugar, butter and shortening together until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time and mix well after each.tift together flour, salt and baking powder.
  5. Add to creamed mixture and mix well.
  6. Combine milk, food coloring, lemon and vanilla flavoring and cocoa together; add to batter.
  7. Beat at high speed until mixed well. Pour batter into greased and floured tube pan.
  8. Fill to 2/3 full. Bake at 325u0b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes until done.trost with Cream Cheese Icing.
