Christmassy Easy Homemade Cinnamon-Pear–Vanilla Granola Recipe
- 1 vanilla stem with the seeds separated
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 3 pears chopped finely
- 2 teaspoons mulled wine spice
- 1 mashed banana
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 4 tablespoons oil
- 1 pinch salt and a little extra
- 6 cups oats
- 1 cup raisins
- 1/2 nuts or dried fruit, Cranberries and other
- Preheat the oven for 150 C Celsius. nnIn a large pot add your sugar, cinnamon, vanilla stem + seeds (you can remove the stem later), chopped pears, mulled wine spice, pinch of salt and a little water and cook on low/medium heat for about 15 minutes. After add your mashed banana, butter, oil and honey and stir until you butter melts.
- In a large and deep tray mix your oats, raisins and dried herbs. Add your hot mixture from your pot (do not burn yourself) and stir well until all is combines. nlace it in the oven.nake the granola for 45 minutes, stirring it every 10 minutes. Until you get your desired colour of your homemade granola.nnLeave it to cool down outside of the oven. nnStore in an airtight container up to 1-2 months (usually it is gone in 1-2 weeks).nnEnjoy.
