Ann'S Punch Bowl Cake
- 1 box Duncan Hines cake mix (yellow)
- 2 (4 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding
- 1 large can cherry pie filling
- 1 (14 oz.) bag coconut
- 1 large can fruit cocktail, drained
- 1 large can crushed pineapple
- 2 (8 oz.) containers Cool Whip
- 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- Prepare pudding according to package directions and place in refrigerator to firm.
- Make 2 layers from box cake.
- Take one layer and break into pieces, into large punch bowl.
- Place 1/2 of the following ingredients on top of cake in order: instant pudding, cherry pie filling, fruit cocktail, pineapple, nuts, coconut and Cool Whip.
- Now add second layer in the same order using the remaining ingredients.
- Refrigerate.
- Will keep several days in refrigerator.
- Serves 20 to 25.
