Chocolate Silk Pie
- 1 prepared (9-inch) butter flavored pie crust
- 1 tsp. water
- 1 egg white
- 1 (4 serving size) pkg. instant vanilla pudding and pie filling
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 c. milk
- 2 c. softened vanilla ice cream
- 3 tsp. whipped topping for garnish
- 1 small chocolate bar, crushed for garnish
- 1 (4 serving size) pkg. instant chocolate pudding and pie filling
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Place pie crust on a cookie sheet.
- In small bowl, beat together water and egg white.
- Brush on the pie crust and bake for about 5 minutes or until light golden.
- Cool thoroughly.
- Meanwhile, in a large bowl, place the pudding, nutmeg, cinnamon, milk and softened ice cream; mix for about 1 minute in an electric mixer until mixture is smooth.
- Pour mixture into cooled pie crust and freeze a few hours until firm.
- Remove from freezer about 15 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with whipped topping and crushed chocolate.
- Store leftover pie in freezer.
