Banana-Pineapple Salad
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. orange jello
- 2 c. hot water
- 2 c. miniature marshmallows
- 1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. pineapple juice
- 2 eggs
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 3 bananas
- 1 large carton Cool Whip
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- Dissolve jello in hot water.
- Add marshmallows and chill.
- When mixture has set to the consistency of egg whites, stir in crushed pineapple.
- Pour into 9 x 13-inch dish.
- Let mixture set up.
- Mix sugar, flour, pineapple juice and eggs.
- Cook over low heat until thick.
- Add cream cheese and stir until smooth, then fold in Cool Whip.
- Cool.
- When jello mixture is set, slice bananas on top.
- Put cream cheese mixture on top of that, then sprinkle with nuts.
