Red Wine Caramelised Onions And Goats Cheese CanapéS
- 2 onions medium, thinly sliced
- 5/8 cup red wine
- 5 tablespoons balsamic glaze
- 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
- 1 puff pastry sheet pre-rolled
- 1 1/8 cups goats cheese
- almond oil
- Heat the oil and saute the onions. Once onions are translucent add red wine. Cook until all of the liquid has cooked off. Add balsamic glaze, cook for 2 minutes and stir continuously. At the end add honey. Stir for couple more minutes.
- Meanwhile preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
- Cut the pastry to your desired size. I used a shot glass and gingerbread forms. Put on the baking tray. Make sure that you are using a non-stick baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- When ready remove from the oven and top with onions. Put the goats cheese into a piping bag and decorate each canape.
