Apple Pecan Brie Bites

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Combine the lemon juice and water in a bowl.
  3. Cut both apples into small, triangular pieces (about the size of a nickel), leaving the colored apple peel on one side.
  4. Place the pieces into the lemon juice solution and toss to coat for at least 5 minutes (prevents browning).
  5. Place the mini fillo shells on a baking sheet.
  6. Remove the outer rind from the Brie and discard. Cut the Brie into small 1/2 Tbsp sized chunks, and place one piece in each fillo shell.
  7. Top each shell with a few pecan pieces and a pinch of brown sugar.
  8. Bake for 5-7 minutes or until the Brie is melted.
  9. Remove from the oven and place one red apple wedge and one green apple wedge in each Brie bite, colored side (peel) facing out.
  10. Serve warm.
  11. Oh, and bring copies of the recipe to the party- trust me, you'll be handing them almost as fast as your yummy little creations.
