Baked Brie In Pie Crust
- 1 pie crust 9-inch round, refrigerated
- 1 brie cheese wheel double-cream, 8 oz.
- 1 1/2 teaspoons honey optional
- 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts optional
- 1 large egg beaten
- crackers for serving
- bread for serving
- Preheat oven to 400u0b0F.
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lay pie crust on baking sheet. Place Brie in center of pie crust. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with chopped walnuts, if desired.
- Fold pie crust over Brie, pressing it firmly together in center so it holds. Brush outside of pie crust with a light layer of beaten egg.
- Bake Brie on middle rack until pie dough is deep golden brown, 25-35 minutes.
- Check to see that Brie is done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.
- Carefully transfer Brie to plate and serve immediately with crackers or bread.
