Stuffed Wild Mushroom Burger
- 1/4 cup cremini mushrooms chopped
- 1/4 cup oyster mushrooms chopped
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 6 ounces ground beef
- 1/4 cup Crystal Farms Shredded Gouda Cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 pinches ground black pepper
- 1 slice onion
- 1 bun brioche, sliced
- 1 slice Crystal Farms Gouda Cheese Slices
- 2 leaves bibb lettuce
- In a small saute pan over high heat, saute the mushrooms in oil. Reserve at room temperature.
- Combine the beef with the shredded Gouda cheese, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper and sauteed mushrooms. Mix well, then form into a 5-inch patty.
- Preheat grill. Grill the onion slice until tender and slightly charred. Reserve.
- Grill the burger until slightly charred and pink in the center, about 6 minutes, turning every 11/2 minutes. Add the sliced Gouda cheese and continue cooking until melted. Meanwhile, grill the bun until warm and toasted.
- To build the burger, place the patty on the bun and top with grilled onion, lettuce and your favorite condiments.
