Cantonese Fried Rice
- 4 cups water
- 1 lipton soup secrets noodle soup mix with real chicken broth
- 2 cups regular or converted rice
- 2 eggs
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 salt
- 1/3 cup oil
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/2 pound cooked ham cut in thin strips
- 1/2 pound uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
- 1 cup soybean sprouts
- 1/2 cup chives chopped
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- Bring water to a boil over high heat in 2-quart saucepan. Stir in Lipton(R) Soup Secrets(R) Noodle Soup Mix with Real Chicken Broth and rice. Cook over low heat 25 minutes or until rice is tender, stirring twice. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Beat eggs, pepper and salt. Turn into greased skillet and cook over low heat until eggs are done; cut into thin strips.
- Heat oil in deep 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat and cook garlic until golden. Remove garlic, then stir in ham, shrimp, chicken, sprouts and chives. Stir in rice mixture, eggs and soy sauce with forks. Serve immediately.
