Bacon And Onion Savory Cake

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. In a nonstick pan, toast a handful of hazelnuts.
  3. In a bowl, mix the eggs, milk, and oil.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, cheese, and a pinch of black pepper.
  5. Add the wet ingredients to dry ingredients. Season with a pinch of salt and add the hazelnuts, bacon and onion, setting a little of the sliced onion aside.
  6. Grease and flour a loaf pan. Pour in the mixture and sprinkle the remaining onion on top.
  7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Test with a toothpick.
