All American Pulled Pork Bbq
- 1 pork shoulder about 5- 6 pounds
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 1 tablespoon cumin dried
- 1 1/2 teaspoons white pepper
- 1 tablespoon Lawry's seasoning salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cayenne
- 2 cups bbq sauce Western, recipe on page
- Thaw and clean pork shoulder.
- Combine spices.
- Place pork on piece of plastic wrap about twice as long as pork in length.
- Rub pork with spices.
- Wrap pork with plastic wrap.
- Place in refrigerator for at least three hours or overnight.
- Remove pork from plastic wrap and place in slow cooker.
- Cook on low for at least eight hours or until pork pulls apart without effort.
- Pull pork apart, removing fat.
- Mix in Western BBQ Sauce.
- Return to slow cooker and cook on low about 30 minutes.
- Keep on warm for up to two hours for serving.
