Tasty Donuts

  1. Heat the milk just to warm.
  2. Beat the sugar with the butter and the eggs.
  3. Put the yeast in a bowl, and dissolve with little of warm milk, mixing with your fingertips. Add to the remaining milk, and mix well.
  4. In a large bowl, mix the flour with a pinch of salt. Make a hole in the center of the flour, and gradually, pour in the milk and yeast mixture. Stir until obtaining a homogeneous dough.
  5. Cover with a cloth, and let rest in a warm place for about 45 minutes.
  6. Heat the oil in a skillet, and drop in spoonfuls of dough.
  7. Fry for 3 to 4 minutes, or until golden.
  8. Remove, drain on paper towels, and coat with powdered sugar.
