Tori No Karaage Don

  1. 1. Finely grate Ginger and Garlic
  2. 2. Combine Soy sauce, mirin, belacan, salt, pepper ginger and garlic
  3. 3. Chop Chicken into 1 inch cubes
  4. 4. Marinate Chicken in soy mixture for 30 minutes
  5. 5. Combine Plain four and cornflour in a flat-bottomed container
  6. 6. Heat oil (about 1.5 inches) in a pot until it starts to sizzle around wooden chopstick dipped into the oil
  7. 7. Coat chicken pieces in flour mixture
  8. 8. Deep fry coated chicken in batches of 5-6 pieces - remove when and drain on a paper towel
