Norwegian Kringler

  1. Mix the first 3 ingredients like a pie crust.
  2. Put on a cookie sheet in 2 long strips, 3-inches wide.
  3. Put the 1 cup water and 1/2 cup butter in a saucepan and heat to boiling point.
  4. As you take from the stove, add 1 cup flour.
  5. Stir until smooth; then beat in 3 eggs, one at a time, beating until smooth after each.
  6. Add 1/2 teaspoon almond extract.
  7. Spread lightly on the dough strips and bake 45 minutes in a 375u0b0 oven.
  8. When cool, frost with the powdered sugar, cream, 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon almond extract.
