Coconut, Orange And Oats Biscuits
- 9/16 cup margarine at room temperature
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg or 2 small eggs
- 1 orange peel
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon yeast powdered
- 7/8 cup oat flakes
- 5/8 cup grated coconut
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.
- Beat the butter with sugar until it gets creamy.
- Add the orange zest and the egg. Stir again.
- Add all the dry ingredients and mix well.
- With a teaspoon, take small portions and place them in a baking tray lined with silicone mat or parchment paper (no need to grease).
- Cook until the tops begin to turn golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and place over a rack to cool.
- After fully cooled, store in an airtight container.
- Makes about 40 cookies (depending on size).
