Ground Beef And Noodle Casserole
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onions
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. wide noodles
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. fresh or canned tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 c. beef broth
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
- Melt butter in skillet; add mushrooms, onions and garlic. Cook until mushrooms and their liquid cooks away.
- Add meat, breaking lumps with spoon.
- When meat is brown, add tomato sauce, broth and seasoning and sprinkle flour over surface.
- Mix well. Allow to simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove skillet from heat; add sour cream.
- Cook noodles until almost, but not quite, done.
