Biscuit And Ham Bake
- 1/3 c. butter
- 2 c. chopped onions
- 2 c. mushrooms, sliced
- 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1 tsp. marjoram
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 c. hot water
- 2 tsp. chicken bouillon
- 4 c. chopped tomatoes
- 12 oz. cooked ham, cut into thin strips
- 2 c. buttermilk baking mix
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1/3 c. Cheddar cheese
- In a large skillet, place butter and add onion and mushrooms. Cook until tender.
- Stir in flour, parsley, marjoram, salt and pepper.
- Add hot water and bouillon granules.
- Mix well.
- Stir in tomatoes and ham.
- Cook and stir 10 minutes.
- Mix baking mix and milk.
- Stir just until moistened.
- Add cheese and drop by spoonfuls onto ham mixture.
- Bake, uncovered, until biscuits are deep golden brown and filling is bubbly, 20 minutes or so.
