Puran Poli
- 2 cups wheat flour
- 1 cup flour Whole Purpose
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- 1 cup water
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 cups chana dal
- 2 cups jaggery grated
- 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg powder
- Wash and boil chana dal in pretty of water till soften
- Strain the cooked chana dal and reserve the water for making Katachi Amti.
- Now grind the chana dal in mixer or with the help of masher.
- Add the mashed chana dal and jaggery in a pan and let it cook slowly.
- Add cardamom and nutmeg powder.
- Stir continuously till the mixture becomes thick.
- Now the stuffing for Puran Poli is ready. Keep it aside
- To make Poli
- In a bowl mix wheat flour, whole purpose flour, ghee, water and salt. Knead into soft dough. Seal wrap it and keep it aside for 15 mins.
