Prego Peri-Peri Sauce
- 125ml olive oil
- 45ml crushed dried chilli or birds-eye chilli
- 1 medium onion finely chopped
- Heaped tbsp chrushed garlic
- 400g canned tomatoes or fresh equivalent
- 15ml sweet paprika
- 50g tomato paste
- 10ml salt
- 45ml white vinegar
- 30ml suger
- 2 red bell peppers (Chopped)
- Some freshly ground pepper
- Fresh rocket 10g
- Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a pot over medium heat
- Add the chopped onion, garlic and half the chilli. Cook for 5 mins. Stir to coat evenly
- Transfer to blender and add all the remaining ingrediants, ( Can use hand held blender just add all ingrediants together), process until almost smooth.
- Spice according to taste( more pepper or vinegar maybe?)
- Cook on low heat for 30min
