Cooked Fruit Casserole

  1. Drain all fruit well in colander; put in large bowl.
  2. Boil 3/4 cup sugar and butter until sugar is melted; add applesauce to this mixture.
  3. Pour this over fruit in the bowl and mix; refrigerate overnight.
  4. Next morning, butter a 2-quart casserole.
  5. Put mixture in casserole; slice and add bananas.
  6. Bake in 350u0b0 oven for 45 minutes.
  7. Take out and mix 3 tablespoons brown sugar with almonds and sprinkle over fruit casserole.
  8. Return to oven for 15 minutes.
  9. Serves 10 to 12 people.
  10. Peanuts or other nuts may be used.
