Grandma'S Soup

  1. Cut short ribs into 2-inch cubes.
  2. Put in 12-quart pan with 20 cups water.
  3. Using food processor, process carrots and celery into small chunks.
  4. Process onion and cabbage to a finer consistency. Add to meat and water with 8 ounce can tomato sauce and spices. Bring to a boil, then turn down heat and simmer until meat is tender, about 4 to 5 hours.
  5. Add noodles; cook according to directions on package.
  6. Add more water if needed.
