Star-Kist Tuna Casserole
- 1/2 c. sliced onions
- 1/3 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. noodles
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 c. crushed potato chips
- 14 1/2 oz. stewed tomatoes
- 1 can Star-Kist tuna (white or chunk style)
- 1 small can peas
- 1/4 tsp. thyme or other herb seasoning
- Saute onions and pepper in butter or margarine.
- Cook noodles in boiling salted water for 10 minutes, or until tender; drain. Add salt and pepper to mushroom soup.
- In greased 2-quart casserole, put half the noodles.
- Cover with half the mushroom soup, half the onion mixture, half tomatoes and half can tuna, plus peas.
- Repeat the layers.
- Sprinkle with herb seasoning.
- Top with potato chips.
- Bake in a 400u0b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes.
- Serves 6.
