Spicy Shrimp & Mushrooms In White Sauce
- 15 shrimp fresh, frozen, peeled
- olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup fresh mushrooms washed
- 3 tablespoons butter butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
- 2 cups milk depending on desired consistency
- spaghetti or linguini
- Heat pan, pour in about 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Saute shrimp, mushrooms and garlic until shrimp is no longer transparent, about 7 to 10 minutes. Remove shrimp from heat and pour in white sauce.
- SAUCE: Cook butter and flour until butter is melted. Cook about 2 minutes longer. Gradually add milk until preferred consistency. Add salt and peppers. Pour into pan with shrimp and mushrooms, mix and serve on spaghetti or linguini noodles.
