Fried Rice With Pork
- 2 c. long grain rice
- 2 c. cold water
- 2 c. cubed pork
- 1 c. diced celery
- 1 medium diced onion
- 1 diced green bell pepper
- 1 c. diced, baked or fried ham
- 2 to 3 tsp. soy sauce
- 1 small can mushrooms
- 1 tsp. Accent
- dash of black pepper
- 2 scrambled eggs, cut in strips
- Place rice and cold water in 4-quart saucepan; bring to boil. Steam 20 minutes on low heat; set aside to cool.
- Brown pork in slightly greased 10-inch skillet.
- Cover and cook for 20 to 25 minutes on low heat.
- Add celery, onion and bell pepper; saute 3 minutes.
- Add rice, ham, soy sauce, mushrooms, Accent and pepper. Cook about 5 minutes longer.
- Add eggs and mix.
- Makes 4 servings.
