Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Cream margarine and sugars.
  2. Add eggs and beat well.
  3. Add vanilla.
  4. Put oatmeal, a little at a time, in blender or food processor; process to a fine powder.
  5. Combine oatmeal powder, flour, baking powder and baking soda.
  6. Add combined dry ingredients to creamed mixture; blend well.
  7. Add chocolate chips, grated Hershey bar and nuts to dough.
  8. Form dough into walnut-sized balls; place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  9. Bake at 375u0b0 for 8 minutes.
  10. Cookies should be barely brown and look a little underdone when removed from oven.
  11. They set up as they cool.
  12. Makes 7 dozen.
