Hash Brown Potato Cassarole
- 2 frozen hash brown potatoes cubed preferably
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cups sour cream
- 2 cups corn flakes for optional topping
- 1/4 cup margarine for optional topping
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Melt 1/4 cup of margarine.
- Combine salt, ground black pepper, cream of chicken soup, shredded cheese, chopped onion, melted margarine and sour cream in large mixing bowl
- Fold in the hash brown potatoes.
- Pour mixture into 9x13" baking dish.
- Place in pre-heated oven and bake until done (approximately 45 minutes)
- Instructions for optional topping
- Crush the 2 cups of corn flakes using rolling pin or manually in ziploc bag
- Melt 1/4 cup of margarine
- Combine corn flakes and margarine in mixing bowl
- Spread topping on dish before baking
