Chestnut Dumplings
- 1 3/8 cups chestnuts cooked
- 3 7/8 tablespoons flour
- 1 1/3 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 Teeloffel cacao
- 1 Teeloffel rum
- 1 Messerspitze salt
- 1 Messerspitze cinnamon
- Add all ingredients except of the flour in a bowl and blend them until smooth. If you like to eat them piquant leave out the rum and cacao.
- Ad the flour and knead until it is a nice and smooth dough. Now shape them as you like. Make some little balls or make finger-shaped dumplings - it s Your choice!
- Bring some salted water to boil. Put in the dumpling and cook for about 3 minutes. Turn off the stove and let the dumplings sit in the hot water for another 2 minutes. Afterwards skim them off and let them drain a bit. Now you can stir-fry them until crispy in the pan or just eat them like they are.
