Steak Baguette

  1. Place the steaks in a shallow dish and brush with 1 tablespoon olive oil. Season with pepper.
  2. In a frying pan, fry the onions with the rest of the olive oil for 5 to 8 minutes or until caramelised, add the balsamic vinegar and cook for another minute.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and English mustard.
  4. Preheat a griddle pan or a BBQ. Grill the steaks for 1 to 2 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your liking.
  5. Cut each steak into strips and divide between the baguettes. Top with the dressing, red onions and rocket. Sprinkle with a little more black pepper and serve.
