Chocolate Lovers Cake

  1. Preheat the oven to 175C.
  2. Sift the flour with the cocoa, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Cream the butter with the sugar and add the eggs, one at a time, while beating continuously.
  4. Add the milk, vanilla extract, and the dry ingredients; beat until the batter is thick and creamy.
  5. Pour the batter into a 24 centimeter buttered and floured cake pan.
  6. Bake for 50 minutes.
  7. Remove the cake from the oven.
  8. Combine the cocoa, milk, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a small saucepan over low heat.
  9. Pour the icing all over the cake while still hot.
