Mama Iris' Pound Cake

  1. Cream margarine and shortening until creamy and smooth.
  2. Add sugar; cream with margarine and shortening.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one.
  4. Measure dry ingredients; sift together.
  5. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
  6. Add vanilla and other flavorings. Pour batter into a greased and floured tube pan.
  7. Bake at 325u0b0 until done, approximately 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes.
